The Littlest Assistant, aka my daughter Kate for any of you who are new around here, is now 8 so compiling this blog post was a lovely excuse for me to shop some gift ideas for little ones. Although with 4 nieces and nephew still under the age of 5, I don’t suppose I needed much of an excuse!!
I hope you love these ideas I’ve put together and it gives you some inspiration for the little cherubs in your life.
For your little crafters, these wands are a great idea to give your little ones an activity to do in the days after Christmas. They can then be kept and used again next year! Vibrantly Calm have lots of other crafty kits like this so definitely have a browse on their website.
The Littlest Assistant was given one of these from her Aunty and Uncle when she was born and 8 years later it’s still never far from her hands, any of you who know The Littlest Assistant will be familiar with her ‘Annie’!! This is such a precious gift if you’re looking for something for a newborn.
A practical gift for the kids that have got everything and therefore need a bit more storage!! Nat and Dan love a design challenge, so give them any image you’d like and they can print it on the basket.
What little one doesn’t love to serve up tea and cake to friends and family?! And this adorable wooden set from The Modern Nursery is perfect for the job.
These are one of my favourite books to read with The Littlest Assistant. These books introduce little readers to inspiring people in history, science, sport and so many more topics. As a total bookworm I think this is such a lovely gift to encourage a young person to pick up a book.
I don’t think I’ve come across a kid who doesn’t love to craft and colour in! Why not put a gift box of goodies together of all things arty….something that will keep them occupied long after Christmas Day has passed.
Everything they need to fix all those niggling problems around the house!! This will keep them amused for hours!
A cute, colourful toy that will keep little hands occupied for a while.
Lots of fun facts and learning for your dinosaur mad little one, and even better the sticker fun will keep them busy for hours! If dinosaurs aren’t quite the thing for the child you are buying for there is also a butterfly and animals version available.
Buying for kids is so fun as there is so many gorgeous items out there, but at the same time overwhelming, especially when you feel they've already got everything they need! So hopefully this little lot will spark an idea for you.
Happy Christmas shopping!
