Permanent Part-Time Retail Assistant Vacancy
We are looking for a part-time member of staff to cover approx 15 hours per week, with the flexibility to increase these hours at busier times of the year and to cover Annual Leave. The post will be based within The Sweetie Jar, Lochgilphead.

Tasks will include:
- Opening & closing the shop
- Creating shop displays and maintaining stock levels
- Serving customers
- Creating sweetie gift hampers and other bespoke customer order requests
- Cash handling
- Unpacking deliveries and pricing stock
- Shop cleaning
- And generally just rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck into the day to day tasks of a small retail business!!

The person we need:
- Experience of working in a retail environment would be desirable but not essential. It is far more important that you are happy and confident taking on a customer facing role and are willing to learn.
​
- The successful candidate will be working alone for the majority of the role and so needs to be self motivated and hard working.
​
- Due to the busy nature of the shop you must be able to multi-task and prioritise the day to day tasks effectively.
